Fashion Design

Direction, Production & Editing

Once upon a time, I was sweating in a vaguely ventilated screen printing shop in St. Charles, Missouri at the ripe age of 17. After a year working the screens, I took a break from the fashion industry and focused on design and illustration at the Kansas City Art Institute. It was in 2015 that I landed my first big-kid contract position at Aquarius Ltd. in the children's department. After that taste of production and design execution, I was hooked on the process.

In 2016, I began a career at Becker Brands as the head product designer. My career at Becker Brands has been instrumental in developing the industry standard for CAD sheets, production art, pattern editing, and managing projects with overseas factories.

Collaborating on the Future

Every market segment has different wants and needs, but there are always a handful of macro trends that warrant special attention from everybody. By dissecting these trends and making them accessible for every market, we can make the most of the top trends of the moment. With a handful of newsletter subscriptions, careful selection of magazines and blogs, and monitoring pop culture, it's easier than ever to keep track of the trends of the time.

Technical Drawings

CADs with Detail & Clarity

Fashion moves fast, and the production process has to keep up. Clear and concise drawings from concept to execution are essential to keep the ball rolling. The age old adage of "design for the lowest common denominator" is truer nowhere more than in the art of technical drawings for product design.

All artwork shown belongs to Kacey Shoemake and affiliated businesses. Stealing art is lame. Don't do it, dude.
